Siphons are used to protect pressure gauges against pulsation of the medium and overheating. A siphon is installed at the thread connection of the pressure gauge, or at the upstream fitted stop valve. A condensate is formed in the bend of the siphon, which prevents the hot medium from reaching the pressure measuring instrument. Siphons isolate pressure instruments from high temperatures.
