Fluidizing Media is made by permanently joining together layers of woven wire mesh by a unique diffusing bonding process. Optimum performance and service life can be attained for any fluidizing application. It has good abrasion resistance that is greater than for metal felt or powdered metal. These are constructed of 100% 316 stainless steel. It can be formed, punched, welded and sheared using standard equipment and methods. It also has custom laminates that offers enhanced mechanical strength. It is used in storage silos for food products, cement, plastics and chemicals. It can be cleaned chemically or with steam for sanitary/food handling applications. The high temperature operation of this media is up to 1000ºF continuous and 1200°F intermittent operation. It has permanent diffusion bonding of interwoven metal wire mesh. It is available in sheets or as fabricated components.
