Profile: Fusion, Inc. specializes in coating and grinding facilities. We can coat and grind parts up to 96 inches in diameter by 37 feet long and weighing as much as 80,000 pounds. Our high velocity oxy-fuel process produces low porosity and dense coatings that exhibit high bond strengths, some exceeding 12,000 PSI. It also produces low oxides that are extremely fine as sprayed finishes. Our Twin Arc wire process uses two metallic wires. The two wires are electrically charged with opposing polarity and are fed into the arc gun at matched, controlled speeds. When the wires are brought together at the contact point, the opposing charges on the wires create enough heat to continuously melt the tips of the wires. Our combustion wire process draws a metal alloy wire through the combustion spray gun. At the gun nozzle, fuel gas of acetylene is mixed with oxygen in precise proportions and ignited to create a flame.
