The Power Chock™ System 5 includes the restraint mechanism, a complete communication system, control & detection systems that allow full integration with other door and dock leveler systems. It combines the ultimate level of safety & universal compatibility with the lowest total cost of ownership in the industry. The Power Chock™ System 5 is composed of a large steel chock mounted to the end of an articulated, counterbalanced arm. The chock is placed in front of the vehicle's rear wheel and locks onto a grade-level ground plate. The communication system consists of three sensors (arm, wheel & dock), an alarm, and interior & exterior signal lights that provide a clear signal to both dock employees and truck drivers that it is safe to begin loading or unloading operations. Clear To GO™ is a unique door protection system. Its simple design works by rapidly positioning a high visibility stop signal in the driver's field of view giving the driver more time to react before the door closes. This sequence reduces the risk of vehicles striking upward-acting doors. The Clear To GO™ is composed of a motorized unit that is installed over the door, a cushioned stop signal supported by cables, and a control panel. The Power Chock™ System 1 is the base model of the Power Chock™ family of products and can be installed as an add-on to existing RIG bar restraints. This model offers flexibility to the customer who requires certain docks to accommodate vehicles with damaged or missing RIG bars, or trucks with lift gates.
