Goliath Crane, 180 Metre Lift

Description: Goliath Crane are built as per IS: 807 and 3938 standards and are used for lifting and shifting of blasted muck through buckets with open able gate at bottom; for transportation of steel ribs for shaft up to 180 m deep; and all activities from ground level to 180m deep shaft, including transferring of loader/JCB/Bobcat for loading of muck in the bucket. These cranes have 12-tonne capacity and 180m lift with 20m span, having hoisting speed of 25m per minute. The main hoist motor used in this crane is 126HP, slip ring type, crane duty, GEC make and wire rope of 36mm diameter 6 x 37, 180kg/mm2. The crane is operated in single fall and this single fall trolley size and capacity is equivalent to design of 100-tonne capacity crane trolley in 16 falls.
