They include soil cutting edges which are forged and sharpened to minimize the wear & tear damage. A tyne has a minimum life expectancy of a minimum 70 hrs working time depending upon soil conditions and other parameters. L-shaped rotary blades or rotary tynes are mounted on a widely spaced flanges fixed to a small diameter rotor.
