Profile: Grundfos Pumps India Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Grundfos holdings was established on March 13, 1998 after obtaining an approval from the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) for an investment of Rs 560 Mio. It is currently responsible for sales of Grundfos products in India, Bangladesh and Maldives.

Currently it has an office, a Warehouse and Service cum Training Centre in Chennai and an office at Mumbai and Delhi and home offices at Bangalore, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Secunderabad, Vizag and Ahmedabad. Grundfos India has 18 Distributors and over 60 dealers throughout India.

It has set up a service and training centre in order to cater to the local Indian market, in keeping with its global policy of being close to customer. Currently, these facilities have been put up at a cost of Rs 20 Million in a warehouse, and it has bought land in Chennai to put up its own facility. The service centre has state of the art service equipment and test beds. The training centre is fully equipped to hold hands-on training simultaneously for around 30 people per session. This ensures that all end users / distributors / sales engineers / service engineers / technicians as well as the company personnel are thoroughly trained, in the use, operation and maintenance of Grundfos pumps.

Grundfos India Training Centre has very successfully trained around 250 persons including its own employees, engineers & technicians of distributors, dealers, OEMs, end users. Service Franchisees are being trained to look after service wherever Grundfos Pumps have been installed. Also service centres are being set up in major cities in India so that clients can be served in the shortest time possible.
