Enameled wire is a wire coated with a thin layer of insulation to prevent the wire surfaces from being in a short circuit when wound into coils. Polyester wire enamel has polyester as base, and are available in varying dimensions. Impregnating resins are used for producing motors, generators, and transformers. These resins turn laminated core and wire winding into mechanical and homogeneous stable unit.
