Description: Heat Pipe is a heat-transferring device working on the principle of evaporation and condensation cycle. The device is filled with a working fluid, a heat-transferring medium. The working fluid evaporates at one end extracting heat from heat source and dissipates to ambience at condenser end through fins. The condensed liquid is transported back, within heat pipe to evaporator end repeating infinitely. The heat pipes can be used in applications that include cooling of semi-conductor devices like diodes & thyristors in electronic & rectifiers industry, waste heat recovery in HVAC/dehumidifiers and use in grain dryers and tobacco dryers; cooling of control panel, transformer oil, optical cable junction box and laptop computers; solar energy applications (small & medium scale) and also in cryogenics use.
