Profile: Helman Fiber Tensioning Systems specializes in fiber tensioners equipments. We provide bi-directional device. These bi direction devices are used to maintain a constant amount of tension or force on a fiber, filament or wire while it is being unwound off of supply spools when the fiber is going into a process. The remote tension sensing is a dedicated in-line fiber tensioner meter for each fiber (tow) used to read the tension and to control the tension. Our equipment and machines are used for filament winder fiber handling, fiber treatment, fiber processing and handling of all types of delicate fibers and wire in both an unwinding and rewinding mode. Our Helman tensioner compensates for spool diameter, spool inertia and friction. The Helman tensioner will take up slack during static conditions. It will maintain tension in a stall condition indefinitely or at very high speeds. The tensioners are very accurate in both the take up and payout mode. They are able to tension a 10 or 20 pound spool of fiber to over 20 pounds OR tension as low as 1 or 2 grams.
