Description: Enecoat is a high emissivity refractory coating for furnaces and kilns to increase production, reduce production and maintenance cost, and improve quality. Enecoat provides a quick and simple way of saving money in furnaces or kilns. It is a high emissivity coating based on silicon carbide which, when applied and annealed correctly has a long life at temperatures up to 1350°C. It works by raising the surface emissivity of the walls and roof in practically all types of furnace or kiln. Heat is more readily absorbed by a high emissivity surface. The result is an increase in wall temperature for the same furnace radiation (control) temperature. Having achieved a higher temperature, the Enecoat surface is then better able to re-radiate the thermal energy than an uncoated surface. Enecoat also provides a strong, hard, protective surface for the furnace lining which is especially beneficial for ceramic fibre. Enecoat is offered by Ravi Thermal Engineers.
