Description: Ballizing is an alternative cheap process for finishing through holes in cast iron, steel and non-ferrous metals. Tungsten carbide balls are passed through the pre-reamed hole with material removal of 5 to 15 microns. This ball is pushed through the hole on a toggle press or lever operated drill machine or a hydraulic/pneumatic press. After passing the ball, the surface finish achieved is Ra 0.1 micron, geometry is controlled within 1 micron and dimensions are achieved within 1 micron. Tungsten carbide balls are available from diameter 0.4 mm to 100 mm of any size and any quantity.
