Profile: Horstman Defence Systems Ltd. is a provider of military vehicle suspension systems. We design and develop military vehicle suspension systems ranging from ultra lightweight-wheeled vehicles, C130 air portable vehicles through infantry and engineer vehicles up the heaviest in the fleet and main battle tanks. We also specialize in precision machining, assembly, test of mechanical, electro mechanical and hydraulic assemblies including the manufacture of safety critical components with exacting machining tolerances and surface finishes. Our Hydrogasr is an external suspension solution combining both spring and damping functions. Being an external suspension solution, Hydrogasr is a bolt on bolt off design. Its pneumatic spring system has a progressive spring rate and often removes the need for additional hydraulic bump stops. Our Integral rotary dampers wrap around the road wheel pivot shaft for new tracked vehicles. This integral rotary dampers are designed to work in conjunction with a torsion bar spring. They offer the advantage of fitting into the running gear and are integral to the vehicle hull.
