Profile: ITW Paktron specializes in metallized multilayer polymer(MLP) film electronic capacitors. Our products include Angstor® miniature radial capacitor, Capstick® lead-frame capacitor, Surfilm® surface mount chip capacitor and Quencharc® R-C network snubber capacitor. Our 100 volt multilayer polymer film capacitor is used for input/output filtering in -48 volt telecom bus power applications. The capacitor provides improved stability, both electrically and mechanically compared to multilayer ceramics. Our MLP also features non-shorting operation and does not crack like large ceramic chip capacitors. Capacitance values range from 0.1 µF to 20 µF and the voltage ratings are 50 VDC to 500 VDC. Our Quencharc® capacitor is used in the RC network industrial applications where there are inductive loads creating electrical noise leading to contact arcing or resetting of PLCs.
