Inductive Displacement Sensor For Rapid Motion, Series Biw
Description: Inductive Displacement Sensor for Sensing Rapid Motion, Series BIW is an analog system with a sampling rate of 20 kHz with resolution and repeat accuracy in micrometer range. It is also immune to shock, vibration and ambient magnetic fields. The BIW inductive displacement sensor utilizes a new-patented operating principle for sensing position without contact. The sensor contains a sender/receiver element and a tuned circuit enclosed in extruded aluminum housing. The turned circuit is attached to an articulated slide connected to the moving member of the machine whose position needs to be known. The sender component of the sensor excites the tuned circuit at a sampling rate of 20 kHz and couples a signal representing the current position into the receiver element. The position is then available as an absolute output signal with selectable rising or falling output slope. The BIW displacement sensor is ideal in metal and plastic forming and bending machines.
