Description: Inductive Proximity Switches, 6.5 mm non-threaded type DC, are ideally suitable for no contact sensing of metallic objects. As inductive sensors work on electromagnetic principle, they are inherently resistant to dust, humidity and oil in industrial environment. These switches consume less power, available in wide range of packages and low unit price has made them very popular in industry. The operational data include mounting in metal - flush/non-flush; sensing distance - 1.5 mm (flush), 2 mm (non-flush) with Fe/ST37 - 8 x 8 x 1 mm; hysteresis - 3% to 15%; repeatability -0.01 mm; temperature drift - <10%; and ambient temperature range - 0 to 70?C. Electrical data: operating voltage - 10 V to 30 V DC; current consumption - <20 mA; dropout voltage - <1 V @ max load current; switching frequency - 3 kHz; and load current (maximum) - 200 mA. The mechanical data includes housing diameter of 6.5 mm non-threaded brass, barrel NI-chrome plated; mounting with rubber/PVC clamp; and termination - Cu cable PVC insulated 3 x 0.34 mm2. The protection features include environmental of IP67 (tested and certified by CMRI, Dhanbad) and no output short circuit is provided.
