Industrial Breakaway Couplings are typically found in general industrial, chemical, low pressure petroleum and marine dock applications. Utillised in all product transfer, installations, the Industrial Breakaway Coupling is specifically designed to be able to activate under a bending moment with an applied force at an angle of 90 degrees to the plane of the coupling. It is typically installed into loading arm and hose assemblies, where at least one side of the coupling is attached to a rigid and fixed point. The Industrial Breakaway Coupling is based on the proven Gall-Thompson flip-flap design and provides complete shot-off of liquid flow from both sides, before the seal integrity is breached.
