Profile: Infrared Laboratories, Inc. is a designer, supplier & integrator of cryogenic systems, infrared detectors, and IR instruments. Our product line includes cryogenic solutions, bolometers, custom systems, and infrared cameras. Our helium dewars in the HDL line contain two cryogenic vessels. The LN2 vessel directly cools a radiation shield that surrounds the LHe vessel and the cold work surface. All interior dewar surfaces are lined with metal foil in order to provide additional shielding. The HDL systems are frequently used for mid- and far-infrared detector and camera systems, including bolometers, photo detectors, and InSb. Applications also include materials testing, electronic component testing, and the cooling of entire stand alone instruments. Our Hi-Res 4.2K bolometer system provides a lower thermal conductivity detector and increased spectral resolution. The configuration offers a slower responding system with modulation frequencies best kept below 200Hz. This system is more sensitive, and the NEP values are an order of magnitude lower than the general purpose 4.2K system.
