The IPC 6013 - type 3 multi-layer flex circuit has three or more flexible conductive layers with flexible insulating layers between each one and outer layers with cover-layers or exposed pads. The IPC 6013 - type 4 rigid flex flex circuit has two or more conductive layers with either flexible or rigid insulation material as insulators between each one and outer layers with covers or exposed pads.
