We provide system for the setting of parking brake or hand brake cables. They are suitable for use with both disk or drum braked vehicles. Our belt tension gauge is based upon the natural frequency of vibration of the belt. The belt is first tapped to force it into vibration and then the frequency of vibration is measured. As the belt tension is increased the frequency of vibration also increases. Belt tension meter we present with measures the natural frequency of vibration of a belt span. This frequency is directly related to the tension in the belt. The belt is forced into vibration by gently tapping or plucking it. All our tension setting equipment consists of sensor head. It features an optical belt vibration sensor and an electromechanical hammer to force the belt into vibration. The sensor head is mounted on a jig plate which is a fixture which locates the sensor head temporarily adjacent to the belt so that tension reading can be recorded. We also specialize in jig plate design.
