In our polyester value chain, the preferred raw material for polyester production is purified terephthalic acid or PTA. PTA is reacted with mono ethylene glycol to produce a polyester polymer, poly ethyl terephthalate, or PET. We provide polymerization technology for the manufacture of PET polymer, which is then used in container resin applications, as well as for the manufacture of polyester staple fiber and filament yarn.
