Profile: Irrometer Co., Inc. specializes in irrigation equipment. Our product line includes soil moisture measurement, landscape control products and data loggers. Our brands include Irrometer™ and Watermark™. Our IRROMETER™ switching pressure gauges are used as switch position sensors to indicate when the system pressure is on and off to display the irrigation events. Temperature compensation of the soil moisture reading is automatic by using one or more temperature sensors or programming a default value. The IRROMETER™ model RSU (4-20mA transducer) can also be read (wiring adapters and auxiliary sensor power required). Spring-loaded terminal strips are provided for sensor connections, which allow for easy installation and never need tightening. Included wire entry strain relief connectors keep enclosure sealed and retain wires. Data can be downloaded directly to a computer via USB, serial, with a PDA, or via wireless telemetry. Our wireless monitor functions similar to the WATERMARK™ monitor described above, but allows for a wireless connection between the sensor locations and the monitor. A wireless monitor installation consists of two basic components, the 950T1 transmitter that reads 4 connected sensors, and the 950R1 receiver which records the soil moisture data received from as many as 16 950T1 units. This allows for as many as 64 sensors to be recorded by an individual 950R1 receiver. Data is stored on the 950R1 and can be downloaded using a laptop, PDA, or with our long range 900mhz radio telemetry.
