Profile: Joule Processing, LLC is a process equipment provider to the midstream gas processing industry. We offer J-T, refrigeration, and amine plants to meet customer volume & pressure specifications. We also provide gas separators, filter separators, and NGL storage tanks to meet customer needs. We offer a variety of plant sizes, new and refurbished, for both rental & sale. We have multiple plant types and sizes in stock to meet our customers' timely needs. We provide our customers with a large array of engineering services. We evaluate customer owned existing plants and troubleshoot operational & optimization issues to provide & implement solutions. We also provide process simulation, process control schemes for new & existing plants, equipment sizing, and equipment locating. We offer four standard sizes of J-T plants. The proper plant is determined as per the customer's specifications. We size the appropriate model unit based on the customer's gas flow rate, pressure, temperature, and composition. Our standard J-T plants are skid mounted and are loaded & off-loaded from a flatbed truck. Each model unit is designed with three flanged customer connections pre-piped to the edge of the skid, gas inlet & outlet connection, and liquid outlet connection. All model units have two optional methanol injection ports for low temp refrigeration. A Joule-Thompson (J-T) plant is a self-refrigeration plant that uses a drop in gas pressure (gas expansion) to cause a gas chilling effect. Its purpose is to condense heavy hydrocarbons out of the gas to meet a certain pipeline gas specification. Pipeline gas specifications range from 10°F - 40°F hydrocarbon dew point, and many times are given as a measurement value of gallons per thousand (gallons of pentane + per thousand standard cubic feet, or GPM C5+). The more heavy hydrocarbons are contained in the gas, the higher will be the GPM value.
