Profile: K. B. Canham Cameras, Inc., specializes in providing cameras and accessories. We provide 4x5 and 5x7 wood field cameras. This camera can be used with either a 5 x 7, or a 4 x 5 back, or the entire rear standard/bellows/ back assembly can be removed and replaced with a 4 x 10 rear standard / bellows / back assembly, or a 5 x 12 rear standard / bellows / back assembly. We provide motorized 6 x 17 roll film back for use on any of the Canham™ 5 x 7 view cameras (other cameras can be used. The back is manufactured from 6061 T6 aluminum. Each metal component is machined from solid aluminum blocks. No castings are used. The film plane, pressure plate, is flat to within 0.0005 inches (0.0127 mm). The back operates on a 9 volt battery. The electronic film winder has built-in memory. This permits the user to change batteries mid-roll, without losing film position. A low battery warning is provided to know when it is time to change a battery. The warning lights blink early enough so that the film currently in the back can be completed before the change of battery. Approximately 20 rolls of film may be shot using just one battery.
