Profile: K V Transfix Ltd. manufactures in-house light weight aluminium honeycomb ramps. It features anti slip surface coatings for wheelchair access to vehicles or buildings. All ramp types can be permanent, semi permanent or portable. The underfloor ramp contains a cassette 40mm deep. It is supplied with a 10mm thick honeycomb floor. Ramp has sides that fold up when deployed. Ramp stowes away under the vehicle interior floor when not in use. Gate ramp is available in lengths from 1600mm to 2800mm x 810mm wide (other sizes on application). Ramp is fixed to vehicle floor and deployment is gas strut assisted. When in stowed position the ramp is latched to a floor to roof pole. The floor pivot on the opposite side to the pole contains a pedal release system which when activated in an emergency (or when the ramp is not wanted) allows the whole ramp to swing outwards on the pole. The ramp simply clicks back into place afterwards for normal use.
