Profile: Kore Technology Ltd. specializes in designing and building customized mass spectrometers, related components, and other vacuum-based equipment. Our components for UHV physics, TOF mass spectrometry include reflectrons, detectors & pre-amplification, data acquisition/processing, database options, microscope viewing optics, laser focusing, and R-500 TOF-SIMS. The R-500 reflectron normally consists of 38 rings (internal diameter 127 mm, external diameter 177 mm, 1 mm thick), and a closed backplate to give a total active length of about 380 mm. The electrodes are mounted on 5 insulated rods spaced by precision ceramic spacers to form a rigid assembly. This reflectron can be dismantled and re-assembled if the configuration needs to be changed. The reflectron is supplied with a vacuum chamber that encloses it. The whole assembly may then be mounted directly to a standard 250 CF flange.
