Profile: Krempel Group is a supplier of electrical insulation materials. Our product line includes electrical insulation, composites, base materials, solar laminates, and thermo insulation. Our solar laminate AKASOL® is a combination of TEDLAR® PVF films and other polymer films. Our AKASOL® laminates vary in structure, the polyester films are dimensionally stable, and therefore used in thickness grades ranging from 50 μm to 330 μm for the inner layer (core film), in order to attain the required stability for partial discharge (PD). The current standard application is 1000 V for maximum system voltage, or adaptable for modified voltage requirements. Our Kapton® is flame retardant, self-extinguishing, and begins to char only at 800°C. The Kapton® is chemically inert to a high degree, has no known organic solvent, and is highly resistant to ionizing radiation.
