Description: Lube Vent Block can be used for longer bearing life and loss of production. Most bearing failures are due to over / under greasing, excess grease heat generation, or seals being compromised and contamination. During greasing, the grease forces the primary piston movement by way of the needle valve and blocks off the relief channel, allowing fresh grease to enter the bearing cavity. These problems can be avoided by using lube vent blocks. These lube vent block is mounted on the bearing housing via the 1/4' NPT fitting and replaces the current grease fitting. The volume and pressure of grease fed to the bearing is adjusted through the needle valve directly below the grease fitting and adjacent to the lube vent block outlet. The excess grease is vented through the vent, and in operation the bearing will expel the excess grease relative to the speed of the bearing for that specific application. Thus preventing over lubrication failures, and providing environmental protection. The lube vent block achieves sealed system integrity with no open vents, ensuring that the correct amount of grease is maintained in the bearing cavity. It comes in two models namely the central lube system model, and a stand alone model.
