Profile: MGDuff is a supplier of systems and services to the marine market. We are accredited with ISO 9001:2000 certification. We design and supply cathodic protection systems. We deal with corrosion control issues covering various aspects of the marine sector ranging from boat market to commercial deep sea shipping and coastal & shoreline structures. We apply cathodic protection system for preventing corrosion to steelwork under water, whereby a more powerful corrosion cell is introduced and base metal anodes waste or sacrifice to protect the steel. We produce anodes from alloys. This list includes aluminium hull anodes, magnesium hull anodes, zinc hull anodes and zinc tank anodes. Our ballast tank anodes are generally a block casting with a central steel round bar insert which are either double cranked to facilitate weld fixing or straight for use with reusable clamps which avoid the need for hot work in the tank space. Our other configurations available are flat bar inserts drilled to accommodate specific hole centers and anodes with integral clamps such as pitguard anodes designed for easy installation in cramped spaces such as double bottoms. Other than this ballast tank de-scaling system, impressed current cathodic protection systems and propeller shaft earthing & monitoring systems are the systems we present with.
