Our off-line film thickness & profile gauge system measures the film profile and thickness on one or many extrusion lines. It is compact and portable for use in QC lab or on the production floor. Its film product set-ups are permanently stored for instant changeover. The series 500 on-line film thickness & profile gauge system is designed for easy installation on most existing blown film lines having either a rotating/oscillating die or tower. The single-sided capacitance sensor is mounted in a fixed position while the system monitors the die or tower position. On fixed lines, a live ring may be added to transport the sensor around the bubble.
