Microwave radar level sensors are suitable for difficult level sensing applications. It consists of an antenna connected to the controller by circular wave-guide tubing. The heat resistant antenna is installed in the high temperature zone, while the controller is located in a room temperature area allowing the sensor to make accurate measurements in high temperature areas without special cooling. Its applications include level measurement in all types of furnaces such as municipal, industrial and nuclear waste disposal facilities, fusion furnaces and reactors.
