Profile: Mid American Rubber specializes in producing precision rubber rollers. We manufacture precision rubber rollers up to 78” in length. Rubber tolerances can be held as close as .001 inches and metal tolerances as close as necessary. We also specialize in custom design and compounding and can provide complete roller assemblies to meet the needs of our customers. We supply all polymer types and harnesses.

Manufacturing Processes
We use three manufacturing processes. Sheet-built is used for prototype and very low volume. Extrusion is used for small volume. Molded is used for high volumes and special configurations. Extrusion and sheet-build usually require minimal to zero tooling charge and make us very competitive in the prototype and the initial phase of productions.

Tint sleeves
These sleeves are precision ground polymeric tubing which is applied over tint cylinders. This assembly is used to replace the plate and plate cylinder in flexographic presses when a continuous solid coating is required. Sleeves are used to lay down continuous uniform solid color or overcoat. They are also sometimes used for applying primers and adhesives.
