The GR heavy duty gravity diverter valve is fabricated from heavy duty plate, and is fitted with an unique flap sealing system. The vane is machined with a recess that takes our custom designed spring loaded, self-adjusting seals, and even the back of the shaft is sealed in this way. The top seal uses a heavy duty polyurethane seal which in each position is protected by deflectors. It is designed for use with abrasive products, the vane can be hardened or fitted with wear plates in ABRO or even ceramics. GV knifegate valve can be re-packed under pressure by simply adding more packing through the access ports in the side of the valve. The seat runs down the edge of the blade and is particularly suited to handling powders, as the opening and closing of the valve performs a self-clean every time, keeping the seal and valve free of product that simply falls out of the valve outlet.
