Description: Motor soft start/reverse solid-state relay is very compact and engineered to meet the industrial safety standards. It incorporates a PIC microcontroller immune to normal EMI and RFI. The 3-phase reference is derived from RYB phases. The voltage is applied to the load by phase angle control resulting in soft start. On achieving the full voltage, the SSR is in complete conduction. Reversal is achieved by changing the sequence of RYB applied to the load. It is offered in instant turn-on type with a capacity to handle motor loads of 0.12 to 3 kW. The outputs of the SSR are back-to-back SCRs, which can handle inductive loads and has high immunity to false turn-on and positive turn-off at high dv/dt. This relay comprises of two control inputs, one for running the motor in the clockwise direction and the other to run it in the anti-clockwise direction. The relay has a built-in interlocking facility to protect in the event of simultaneous application of both the inputs (forward and reverse).
