Motorised Potentiometers
Motorised potentiometers utilise electrical and mechanical angle of rotation of one or more precision multi turns potentiometers of 2, 3 or 5 W coupled together with a miniature DC motor to sense end positions and cut off the supply to motor. This saves precision potentiometer and motor from damage. Two basic versions are available, VSMP-10 with independently variable ramp up/down time of 20 to 80 seconds; and MAP-103 with fixed ramp up/down time of 20 seconds standard. Choice of auxiliary supply available is 24/ 48V DC or 110 or 230V AC. The potential free lower switches provided on the front panel and external connections at the rear for remote operation facilitates the use from multiple places. One NC and NO potential free relay contact is provided on each end of the potentiometer to facilitate activation. The whole assembly is housed in a 92 x 92 cutout panel mounting cabinet or wall mounting unit. Major applications include applications operating drives by remote switching through PLC or other logics and synchronisation of DG sets. This product is also available with 3'h digit, digital display for indicating wiper position of the potentiometer.
