Profile: Netsat is a wholesale telecom company providing all voice and data products, specializing in satellite and cellular communications. We also provide simplex and duplex data solutions for various asset tracking, data monitoring and SCADA applications. Our meter reading modem transmits and receives information between the meter and the utility company backoffice or host. When usage or load information of a meter is required, the utility backoffice initiates a PSTN call to the remote meter's analog modem after referencing the Globalstar OSAT satellite availability tool. The server communicates with the utility meter as if the meter were connected to a standard public telephone line.
