Description: Non-Sparking Ex `N' Motors manufactured by our company are suitable for Zone-2 classification of hazardous area. This is manufactured as per IS: 1231 / IS : 2223, IS:9628,IS:6381, IS:325. The components of this motor are made of cast iron, with 'F' class insulation and the temperature rise is limited as per IS: 6381/9628. The windings are impregnated with insulating varnish and baked. The overhang of the winding is treated with epoxy gel coat. The motors are made of die cast aluminium with squirrel cage construction. The eye bolts are made of carbon steel and the terminal box end covers are made of cast iron. The terminal box can be rotated through 360o, in steps of 90o. The terminal studs and accessories are made of brass/SS and are nickel plated. The motors are designed with a single row, double shielded, deep grove ball bearings and are pre-greased with high temperature grease for life, up to 225 frames. The 250 to 315 frame bearings are provided with geared arrangement. The fans are made of aluminium. The fan cover is of MS sheet metal pressed/welded. Standard motors are totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC). Motors are with noise level maintenance as per IS: 12065 and the vibration level is as per IS: 12075. The clearance between the fan/fan cover and the motor cover is maintained 2 mm min. The ambient temperature is of 40oC. All hardware/fasteners are zinc plated to prevent corrosion. The drain hole with a plug screw on the end shield to remove condensate is painted with one coat primer, followed by 2 coats of anti-corrosive paint.
