Profile: Northwest Rail Electric manufactures custom electrical equipment, electric locker packages, HVAC equipment & controls and various other equipment for the railroad passenger car industry. HVAC control system is designed for use in controlling the heating, venting and air conditioning on passenger cars. NWGC-500 series generator control is designed for cases where a power selection system between the HEP trainline and the generator set is required. This allows the car to run off of the generator set while passing HEP power through the car. The system has been provided for automatic start of an under-car generator set in the event of HEP power failure.
