PremaSol 50A S/D colloidal silica is a medium sized spherical colloidal silica manufactured to provide final finish on hard & brittle substrates. Ra finishes of 1 angstrom (atomic force microscope) have been achieved on many substrates. It can replace colloidal silicas in all applications. PremaSol 50A S/D colloidal silica is formulated to dry soft in order to eliminate scratches caused by dried polish, and prevent polish equipment from being encrusted with hardened silica. It is easily rinsed from operator's skin, thus eliminating dry, chapped hands. Our Premalox high-purity alumina is alum derived aluminum oxide grown via a chemical process. Due to the chemical growth of our alumina, we are able to obtain higher purity and a more unique & uniform shape throughout. PremaSol DA alumina suspensions are produced from our Premalox DA high purity alumina powders. They maintain all the characteristics of the powders in a liquid suspension. The powders are de-agglomerated using a proprietary process, breaking down the larger aggregates, which would otherwise cause scratching and sub-surface damage. These types of DA suspensions have found extensive use in semiconductor and photonics polishing applications. PremaSol AG alumina suspensions are derived from our AG (regular) grade Premalox powders, and are used extensively in the metallurgical industry.
