Oil spill-on-water remote sensing system is designed to locate and delimit oil spills on the surface of water and on shorelines under a broad range of operating scenarios, during both day and night conditions. The suite of equipment, including infrared, ultraviolet, and visible spectrum cameras, allows the operator to differentiate between thick and thin oil on the surface of water. This combination of sensors offers multi-spectral coverage, which permits higher probability of detection, better discrimination and effective operation over a wide range of weather and lighting conditions.
