Description:
The non-hazardous thermal spray system for continuous on line zinc spray coating on ERW tubes and pipes on seam is introduced by MC Thermal Spray Equipment. The zinc spray has the capacity of coating from 12 to 15 microns. However, 10 to 100 microns can be deposited (depending upon the tube/pipe traverse speed) on tubes and pipes ranging from 15 to 200 mm NB size without interrupting the tube mill speed. The system package consists of a dry spray booth (spray chamber), twin cyclone with a fan motor along with a ducting and arc jet gun system that includes an arc jet gun, power source and a control panel along with cables. The spray booth is installed just next to ERW workstation, where the arc gun is positioned. The fumes and fine zinc dust generated in the spray booth are sucked into the cyclone dust collector due to the suction created by the exhaust fan (blower). Due to cyclonic action, the zinc particles are trapped at the bottom of the cyclone dust collector, and clean air is discharged from the outlet of blower into the atmosphere, keeping the environment clean and friendly. The arc jet spray gun system consists of an arc spray gun with two wire feeding arrangements, DC power source and a control panel with a wire spool. The wire feeding mechanism is powered either by a compressed air driven turbine or by an electric motor.
