PSA Nitrogen Gas Generators
The PSA nitrogen gas generators are manufactured by Mellcon Engineers who has an association with Sysadvance, Portugal, who supplies many nitrogen plants world wide. The PSA nitrogen gas plant is an inert gas atmosphere generator that incorporates two columns filled with carbon molecular sieves (CMS). Nitrogen is produced from compressed air. On pressurising these columns with air, CMS adsorbs oxygen, CO2 and water molecules and leaves nitrogen as a product. Any level of nitrogen purity up to 99.999% can be produced from this plant. This process is referred as pressure swing adsorption (PSA). All PSA N, plants will be supplied with refrigerated air dryer to get the maximum efficiency from CMS. Advantages of PSA nitrogen plant include: attractive pay back period, cheaper cost of N gas than the cylinder required, easy to operate, requires no operator, no variation in nitrogen purity, compact in size, occupies lesser space and requires no maintenance as no moving parts are involved.
