Profile: Patnaik Steels & Alloys Ltd. produces sponge iron and coal based sponge iron. An electric steel making plant and a power generation plant using waste heat from off-gas of the sponge iron plant. We set up a fluidized bed boiler to generate steam for additional power generation by using carbonaceous waste, like coal fines and coal char, generated inside plant. We also setup a steel billet manufactured facility through induction furnace. Our power generated in-house is totally used in DRI plant and billet plant.
