Description: Industrial Pit Furnaces are used for applications like high / low temperature tempering, annealing, heat treatment, ceramic ware biscuting & glazeing carburizing and nitriding. The shell of the furnace consist of a rectangular cubicle in MS fabrication, fastened and/or welded to the structural frame work, also made out of MS structural members, with welding and/or bolting joints as per standard practice. The heating chamber would be lined with specially shaped refractory, suitable to withstand a temperature of 1200?C, and also design to receive specially developed heating elements. The bottom of the chamber would be sufficiently lined to take the load of the charge. The heating chamber would be insulated with combination lining of hot and cold face insulating bricks, followed by a layer of ceramic fibre insulating material. The necessary instruments/controls like temperature controller, contractors, push buttons and fuses, will be properly mounted and duly wired in a control panel.
