Description: Plastic film capacitor, Model FMD 52, is offered. This new range of polypropylene film capacitors is meant for severe AC applications and for power electronics. FMD 52 capacitors are general purpose capacitors with good corona resistance, ideal for very high voltage and medium to low frequency applications, across SCRs in induction heating equipments and high voltage power electronic applications. These are non-inductively wound polypropylene plus paper capacitors with aluminium foil electrode, vacuum impregnated; and axial leads with size M6 stud terminations, encased in aluminium can for better heat dissipation. Specifications: capacitance range - 0.25 µF to 2 µF; voltage range - 2000 V; and dissipation factor - £ 10 x 10-3 at 1 kHz.
