The screw and spring termination inserts provide a time saving & convenient solution as compared to crimp type. Whereas crimp type is more advantageous in high vibration environments the new direct plug connectors. Heavycon Advance with screw locking are particularly suitable for panel feed-through where the plug connection is rarely disconnected. Two mounting flanges and the new screw locking replaces the panel mounting base which would otherwise be used. This means a cost saving of approx 30%; and 50% larger cabling space in the HC-Advance direct plug connector. Heavycon Advance is compatible with all industrial plug connector contact inserts and panel cutouts in the Heavycon B series format. These are the Heavycon series B, BB, D, DD, HV, HS, HC-M (modular contact inserts) and HCKA (terminal block adapter) from us. In addition to the gray standard housings, these are also available in black for more exacting ambient conditions & harsh climatic atmosphere especially in areas like chemical plants, railways and off shore. Being EMC-compliant they can be used for sensitive interfaces which have to be shielded against electrical, magnetic and electromagnetic fields.
