Profile: PowerPlant Borescopes, Inc. offers video borescopes and probes. Our Welch Allyn VideoProbe XL620C is a 6 mm insertion tube measuring 2 meters in length. This is a videoprobe that has a camera chip at the end of the tip, rather than using optical fibers. Two servo motors in the hand-held unit provide all-way articulation through the joy stick control. The articulation reaches 180 degrees in any direction making it superior to any other scope on the market. Additionally, the tip adapters are used to obtain a close-up tip-to-target and a 90 degree view to eliminate the need for articulating in a confined area. These are widely used in aviation industry, boilers, marine industry, heat exchangers and fire & damage investigation. The videoprobe also has a video out connection allowing for image and video through optional purchased recording equipment. Our Olympus IF6D3-10 industrial fiberscopes are available in 6 mm by 1 meter length. This fiberscope has a straight view and a 90 degree adapter included offering an image clarity that touches out to several inches.
