Profile: Precision Air Products Co. specializes in offering diffusers, integrated ceilings and ultraclean air systems. Lami-Vent™ is a special perforated laminar flow diffuser. Two separate plenums distribute and pressurize air inside the diffuser to create unidirectional velocities in the plane of the perforated plate, preventing aspiration. These are sometimes also referred to as non-aspirating unidirectional flow modules. The Cardio-Island® system provides ultraclean laminar-type unidirectional airflow along with rapid temperature change capabilities in operating rooms used for cardiac cases.
