Profile: Precision Analog Systems Co. is a manufacturer of custom I/O and signal conditioning cards. Our product line includes VME analog input & output, VME digital input & output and VME waveform generators. We also provide PCI input & output, IP carriers & modules, remote input & output and amplifier cards. Our PAS 9723 provides 32 simultaneously sampled analog input channels with 12-bit resolution. Each channel provides an instrumentation amplifier with resistor programmable gain. The PAS 9732 provides eight simultaneously sampled analog input channels with 14-bit resolution. Each channel provides an instrumentation amplifier and 3 MHz analog to digital converter. The PAS 9737 provides 64 differential analog input channels with 16-bit resolution. All input channels are scanned in sequence and stored in dual port RAM. Each channel can be sampled at a unique gain, using the card programmable gain amplifier. Our PAS 9883/GEN is a VME based, eight channel function generator card. Each channel contains a Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) chip that can be programmed to generate sine wave output signals. This DDS device is a numerically controlled oscillator (NCO), employing a phase accumulator, a sine look-up table and a 10 bit D/A converter. The input clock frequency to the DDS chips is 2 MHz. This input frequency combined with the chips thirty-two bit phase accumulator provides a frequency resolution of 0.000465 Hz. The maximum useable output frequency is approximately 30 KHz.
