Description: Pressure gauge calibrators are offered for calibrating pressure gauges and other pressure sensing, transmitting and recording pressure instruments up to 1000 kg/cm2. Relationship between pressure acting on the known area of a vertically free floating piston producing a force balanced by known dead weights is made use of in the dead weight pressure gauge tester. The tester has a built-in screw pump of adequate capacity to generate pressure by turning a handle permitting easy and accurate settings. Free piston assembly of special steel, hardened, tempered, stress relieved (artificially aged), ground and super-finished to accurate size and very fine surface finish provides true floating action. Set of weights of phosphated MS or SS 304, directly marked in convenient values of pressure and easily stackable on the weight carrier which is attached to the free piston are provided. The whole assembly is mounted on a sturdy baseplate provided with levelling screws and a sheet metal cover protects the internal piping from damage. The testers are available in kg/cm2, bar, kPa, Mpa, lb/in2 units. Accuracies of ±0.1%, ±0.06% and ±0.03% with national traceability are available. Electrical motor rotation for free piston and weights at speeds of approximately 30 RPM can be provided. Vacuum testers are also available in mm Hg, in Hg, kg/cm2, bar, or mm H2O units.
